Job Summary:  To lead and provide high quality operational and technical application and systems support to SCIO customers and internal business functions. Owner of the Service Request process, ensuring PM goals are achieved. Minimizing the adverse impact of Incidents and Problems for the business and preventing reoccurrence of Incidents.  Key Duties and Responsibilities:   Develop, co-ordinate and promote the effective functioning of problem management activities across support teams Contribute to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes To examine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals with the Service Manager Provide technical leadership Provide input to application/infrastructure scalability Interact with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators, particularly in terms of in-depth trend analysis Maintain application monitoring, performance tuning and testing Provide architecture level Application Support on complex internally and externally developed applications Provide input to administering and maintaining all production and internal environments Provide input to the implementation, backup and roll-back plans Act as a technical resource for internal and external projects Ensure there are robust procedures and processes within the application support function remit Follow appropriate departmental and company procedures and policies (i.e. change control, security and auditing, release, configuration, problem and incident management). Maintain good working relationships with internal departments as well as 3rd party vendors To examine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals with the Dev Ops Manager Design, prepare and conduct training relating to Server Request Management and the appropriate usage of the support management processes and best practices Provide timely and expert advice on emerging trends and issues affecting Product Delivery and Support. Develop strategies to allow Application and Data Support to manage resultant problems. Personal and Team Development Share / spread knowledge with team members as well as internal teams (client services, service desk, development) Pro-active in maintaining and increasing the teams and your own technical knowledge Identify training needs or requirements for yourself individually and for the team Coach and develop team members Documentation Ensure incidents and problems are up-to-date with latest information Ensure all technical and non-technical documentation is up-to-date Create management reports  Requirements and  Qualifications:  4 yeardegree in the computer science 7 years of Application Support experience 5 years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server (version 2012 or later) 5 years of experience in both creating and maintaining complex T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures in a multi-database environment 3 years of experience in ETL processes using SSIS 2 years of experience in creating business requirement documentation, testing , and sign-off processes Extensive problem solving ,debugging, and performance tuning skills Ability to independently apply production upgrades and support the products and technologies Experienced in Problem and Incident Management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Flexible in working outside of core business hours at short-notice Experience with supporting multi-tier infrastructures Experience with supporting .NET applications and an understanding of web technology Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple concurrent projects Strong knowledge of Data Modelling and reporting techniques Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or related field is preferred. Demonstrable Skills and Experience is required. Excellent knowledge in data warehousing and data analysis required Experience in the Healthcare insurance industry is preferred.
