In addition, this role will be responsible for managing and maintaining the career path, talent pools and succession planning functions within the Guitar Center University platform. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: Design and create resources for a succession and talent-planning framework. Manage, support, administer, and update succession plans for key roles within the enterprise, including identifying and mapping skills associated with job roles, creating career plan options, developing position success profiles, activities, tools, and resources that enable leaders to conduct effective talent review and calibration sessions. Partner with key stakeholders to acquire necessary information to design the appropriate strategy to meet specific business needs. Administer and manage performance management processes for the Enterprise, including creation/revision of applicable forms, reporting and communicating with enterprise leadership on execution and review quality, identifying best practices, and tracking results. Manage and administer the annual review process to drive company goals and support a culture of high performance. Develop materials and provide guidance to users on best practices for performance management. Manage the talent management system, including administering roles, skills, and behaviors. Act as a subject matter expert to work with managers throughout the enterprise to determine the right course of action for Career Action Planning. Ensure the administration of career development and succession planning resources are current, relevant, and utilized in the expected manner. Develop and maintain career path processes and avenues for the enterprise to ensure visibility for advancement within the organization. Serve as a resource for end-user support, learning event deployment, performance review cycle execution, talent pool administration, and analytics support. Lead, coach, develop, and counsel people leaders and direct reports on hiring, performance management, and termination decisions. Additional duties as assigned. To join our band you'll need the following experience: Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience) is required, preferably in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Education, Training & Development, or related field. 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably within talent development, organizational development, or similar. 2 years of experience managing individuals and Human Resources and/or Organizational Development programs. Strong understanding of talent management, adult education process, and workforce planning. Skilled proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
